Job description
For global company based in Brno we currently seek skilled and talented individuals for the position of HW Design Engineer.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

This position is part of the Engineering team that specifies, designs, develops and localizes hardware for intruder alarm systems.

Responsibilities will include

• the redesign of embedded hardware for intruder alarm systems to adapt to the EMEA market needs and

• the design of new embedded hardware for intruder alarm systems

The main tasks:

• definition of design specs according to requirement specs
• design redesign of hardware components
• qualification of hardware functions, test of components
• system integration with firmware

• documentation

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelors Masters degree
• 3 years of professional experience in hardware development (analog & digital circuitry, 832 bit microcontrollers, power supply )
• Sound background in telecoms (e.g. GSM, GPRS)
• Programming skills for low-level software development

• Required skills include knowledge of ECAD system, EMC design, design for manufacturability, design for testability

Candidate must be self-motivated to work independently, as well as part of a development team.
Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have good knowledge of English language to communicate with different sites in USA and Europe.
